We have worked closely with HMD Joinery since 2004 overall several projects. These have included two new-builds of houses totalling 8,500 ft2, one of which was the erection of a frame supplied by the package company “Scotframe” and the other, the larger of the two, was “stick-built” on site by HMD. The quality of the finished work fully met our expectations and was completed within the time frame requested.Prior to the commencement of each project considerable time and care was taken by HMD to detail every aspect of the materials to be used and their associated costs. Where revisions were necessary all additional costs were discussed prior to the commencement of that work and were kept to a minimum. We believe overall the charges made were reasonable and fair.Working directly from architects’ and engineers’ detailed plans, HMD made, where required, direct representation to these professional firms on our behalf when the need arose. This was also tempered with copious amounts of common sense and they provided real-time, on site solutions to problems that inevitably arose. We have been happy to continue our on going relationship with HMD over the past ten years and look forward to doing so in the future. We would readily recommend HMD to anyone looking to have a timber-framed house built.
